I don’t mean to brag, but a lot of people have complimented on my skin.
Typing this sentence just makes me want to laugh, like how cocky can I get?
Do I have perfect skin? No
But do I take care of my skin? Yes
There are days where my skin is flawless, then there are days where my skin is lacking self-confidence.
These are my product essentials for skincare:
Pond’s Flawless White Deep Whitening Facial Foam
Purpose: Cleanses to remove dead skin cells and impurities and also brightens the skin.
Availability/Price: I usually get mine from Yangon (City-Mart) because it’s only 4000 Kyats ($4.00), but Priceline used to stock them for $13.00, but I haven’t seen them in store (check their website).
Rating: 5/5 I love it! I use it every morning and night! One of the cleanses that do not cause me to breakout. Also, I have been using it for 4 years now
Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel
Purpose: Use to soothe sunburns or razor burns, but I use it as a moisturising base
Availability/Price: Again, I purchased this from Yangon at the Nature Republic stand in Myanmar Plaza and they were only 8000 Kyats ($8.00).
Rating: 4/5 Anything aloe vera, please come my way! I use it every morning and night after cleansing with Pond’s Flawless White Foam. Aloe Vera not only moisturizes my face, but it’s very cooling.
The Face Shop Face Masks
Purpose: Avocado – Improves skin’s suppleness and elasticity. The hydrating serum contained in this mask is perfect for dry or very dry skin.
Blueberry – Leaves skin soft and toned. The soothing blueberry extract helps restore skin’s suppleness and vitality.
Aloe Vera – The aloe extract, with soothing properties, offers softness and hydration to skin.
Availability/Price: Again, I bought the face masks from the Yangon shops and the last one I went to was in Myanmar Plaza. Might as well live in Yangon right? The prices ranged from 1000-1500 Kyats ($1.00-$1.50), and if you’re in Perth you can purchase the masks at The Face Shop store in the city for around $3.000-$5.00.
Rating: 4/5 These three are my favourite ones because each of its purposes has amazingly worked for me. I usually use face masks once every fortnight or once a month. But it is one of my essentials to keep my skin healthy.
However, other factors also play a major role in skincare and that is to drink lots of water, get enough sleep and contraceptive pills. Since I am not a qualified doctor and only speaking from my own experience, it is important to discuss with your doctor on contraceptive pills. Contraceptive pills are not only for protection, but they also do play a major role in skincare. Dermatologists treat many teens who go through acne by providing them with contraceptive pills. But like I said, this is something to discuss with your GP or Dermatologists.
And that is it girls, that are my products and tips!
And here’s a result of my skin (down below).
