I was recommended to do this survey by my therapist because she wanted me to find out the top qualities about myself and wanted me to reflect on them. The good and the bad I guess.
So these are the results!
1. Humor and playfulness –
You like to laugh and tease. Bringing smiles to other people is important to you. You try to see the light side of all situations.
This is absolutely correct because laughing makes me feel better, and I try to have a laugh or joke about the things I go through because I don’t want to make it super traumatising, you know? Things that have happened were pretty sad, but if you think about it, it’s quite hilarious as well. For this, I don’t think it’s anything bad.
2. Bravery and valour –
You are a courageous person who does not shrink from threat, challenge, difficulty, or pain. You speak up for what is right even if there is opposition. You act on your convictions.
I stand by my own beliefs and if people disagree I really don’t care nor do I change my views on them. I speak for what is right, and what I think is right. Yes, we can agree to disagree, but don’t disrespect my perspectives. The bad thing about me being “courageous” and “open” is offending people who do not agree and then they start an argument, or I lose friends on the way because they don’t agree with my decisions. And that’s okay because I’m not trying to build a life with my friends, you know what I mean? They’re not the ones that are living with me or paying my bills, I am my own person and if I end up choosing someone that they don’t approve of, I don’t care either.
3. Spirituality, sense of purpose, and faith –
You have strong and coherent beliefs about the higher purpose and meaning of the universe. You know where you fit in the larger scheme. Your beliefs shape your actions and are a source of comfort to you.
This I also agree! I know what my purpose is as an individual and I know my goals. And this all comes from my beliefs and faith. Even though there are times where I just want to give up on living, I know that there is something better out there, or there are things I want to achieve in life. And this is so comforting to me, looking forward to the future. Scary, but exciting.
4. Curiosity and interest in the world –
You are curious about everything. You are always asking questions, and you find all subjects and topics fascinating. You like exploration and discovery.
I am super curious about everything and I love asking questions about things I do not know. I’m not nosy though, I don’t dig into everyone’s business, but I ask questions about what I should know. I never really asked questions about things in school because I was afraid, but now when I don’t understand something I ask. Or when I have conversations with people, I ask about things because why not right?
5. Fairness, equity, and justice –
Treating all people fairly is one of your abiding principles. You do not let your personal feelings bias your decisions about other people. You give everyone a chance.
This! It’s also a good factor, but a bad factor too. It’s good because I’m nice and I give people a chance to redeem themselves and not judge them for their past. The bad thing is, they tend to walk all over me and take advantage because they know I give out chances, and that’s not okay. So I feel like I need to set boundaries and be clear about what I want, what is okay and be able to leave a person as soon as they start disrespecting me as a person. A lot of things to work on myself, but I’m excited about the journey.
