30 Days of Self-Love: Day One

“Write a love letter to yourself. Create it as though you’re telling someone you care about deeply just how incredible they are. List your special qualities, features and things that make you uniquely you. Keep it somewhere safe!”

Dear Me,

You’ve gone through a lot, but you still manage to smile and laugh through it all. I like the way you have your own values and stand for what you believe in, regardless of what other people think of you. I know it’s hard when people don’t understand what you’re trying to say or how you’re portraying things, and I don’t want you to think that there’s anything wrong with you.

Life is hard, but it’s also worth living for. I know there have been several times when you just wanted to give up and questioned your existent, but I know deep down that you’re strong enough and will never let yourself go just because of what someone has done to you.

I also want you to know that all the goals that you have planned and all the things that you want in your life, is going to happen one day. But I also don’t want you to sit there and wait for someone to come and fulfil your needs, I want you to be able to that by yourself. Why wait for someone to do things for you, when you can do it yourself?

Don’t be afraid of being lonely and please don’t get pressured by society. I know all your friends are settling down and having babies, and I know that’s what you want too. But it’ll happen someday and if it doesn’t, just be happy that you have more time for yourself.

I wish you the best, and I hope you can be happy with who you are and where you are in life.

With lots of love,
