My August Favourites

Wow it’s the end of August already! This month surely went quickly, and I’ll say it again, I’m glad this year is nearly over. But it doesn’t really make a difference on how I feel, even if the year is over *laughs*.

My favourites for this month isn’t as much, they’re all make-up and cosmetics!

Anyways, let’s get started!

Make-up/Cosmetics

No Problem Primer by Touch in Sol
Purpose:
It is used for a “long lasting fresh & flawless make up and a smooth, evenly textured complexion.” (Priceline).

Availability/Price:
I purchased mine from Priceline, when they had the skincare sale a month ago. The price now is $34.99.

Rating:
I would say 4/5 because this has been lasting my make-up for the whole day, just like the Honey Moon Base Skin Base from Touch in Sol. I apply it straight after my moisturiser and because it’s not honey based, it was easier to apply because it wasn’t sticky.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara
Purpose:
“Have the look of thick, false lashes with Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. The lash-maximizing, curvy brush places the most volume at the hard-to-reach center lash line, and the defining tip styles lashes for major drama.” (Sephora).

Availbility/Price:
I actually received mine as a sample gift from Sephora because of the amount of points I had in my account. Although the price is $39.00 for the actual item.

Rating:
4/5 – At first I didn’t really think it was going to work, no idea why I thought that. But when I used it, I was so impressed because it gave me thicker lashes. If you would like to see the image of my lashes, head over to this blog post of mine –> Honey Moon Skin Base

“Strobing” – Samantha Jade for Models Prefer
Purpose:
“The Samantha Jade for Models Prefer strobing palette is the most versatile palette available, including champagne tones for fair skin, pink champagne tones for light-medium skin, golden tones for olive skin and terracotta tones for dark skins. You can choose the highlighter best suited to your skin tone and complement the make-up using the other shades as eyeshadow and blush. It’s all about the glow!” (Priceline).

Availability/Price:
I purchased mine from Priceline when they had the 40% off cosmetics sale. However, the original price is $19.99.

Rating:
4/5 – It works really well! I am super surprised with it because I’m such a judgemental person towards cosmetics, but there are six different shades of highlighter and they pack on pretty well. I will make an individual review on it soon.

TARTE Limited Edition Swamp Queen Eye & Cheek Palette With Brush
Purpose:
“This creative makeup guru teamed up with tarte for a one-of-a-kind palette with her favorite colors, techniques and pastimes captured through 12 exclusive shades.” (Sephora).

Availability/Price:
I received this as a gift from my mum on my birthday this year. You can purchase it from Sephora at $66.00 (there’s Afterpay now).

Rating:
4/5 – I sincerely liked it! Not much people recommended this palette to me and I guess because of it’s pink tones, but girl I needed more pink tones – all I have is nudes! The pigmentation is perfection, the blush worked really well, the highlighter was poppin’ and the brush had a lot of impact when applying the product. I’ll do an individual review for it later.
