Advanced Screening: The Hitman’s Bodyguard

On Sunday I had the opportunity to go see The Hitman’s Bodyguard at Events Cinema, thanks to Student Edge.

Rating: 4/5
The Hitman’s Bodyguard stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ryan Reynolds and Salma Hayek. The movie is about: “The world’s top bodyguard getting a new client, that is a hit man who must testify at the International Court of Justice. They must put their differences aside and work together to make it to the trial on time.” (IMDB).

Let’s go into more detail, shall we?

Michael (Ryan Reynolds) likes to call himself a Triple-A Bodyguard, where his service is used for high profile clients, such as Presidential candidates. However, one of his clients was assassinated right in front of him, and from then on Michael’s career went through a trough.

Michael blamed it on his partner Amelia for “exposing” him. Then things went south for them, and Amelia reached out to Michael to come and do a job for her. Unfortunately, it was a job he didn’t want to do.

Why? Because he had to be the bodyguard of Darius Kincaid Рthe Hitman that has been his worse enemy.

They have to work together and avoid distractions, in order to get to the International Court on time.

Overall, the movie itself is super entertaining, action-packed and hilarious. There was never a boring moment at the cinema – the action was constant with aspects of comedy intact to it (seeing Ryan Reynolds handsome presence was breathtaking lol).

If you’re like me and is into action-packed movies, then I would totally recommend you to watch this.
